We keep almost nothing.

This notice is written under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. It is short because the site does not track you.

Controller

Publisher details to be completed before publication. The Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 require the publisher’s name, geographic address and e-mail address to be easily and permanently accessible; a company must also show its registered name, number and office (Companies Act 2006, section 82). These fields are set in inc/config.php and appear here and in the footer once filled.

What we do not do

  • No cookies, no local storage, no analytics, no advertising pixels, no social media widgets, no embedded maps or fonts from third parties. Fonts and images are served from this domain.
  • No accounts, no forms, no newsletters.
  • The “use my location” button asks your browser for your position and works out straight-line distances on your device. Your position is never sent to us or anyone else and is discarded when you leave the page.

What we do process

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard web-server logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser type) to run the service securely and diagnose faults. Legal basis: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR). Logs are kept for a short, fixed period set by the host and then deleted.

E-mail

If you write to us we hold your message and address for as long as needed to reply and to keep a record of corrections made to the site. Legal basis: legitimate interests, or consent where you ask us to keep you informed.

Advertising click identifiers

If you arrive from an advertisement, the link may carry an identifier in the address (for example gclid). We do not read, store or forward it; it stays in your browser’s address bar. The advertising platform’s own privacy notice governs what it does with clicks on its network.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to processing. Write to hello@baizeandbed.com. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

International transfers

None by us. Our host may process logs outside the UK under its own safeguards; details are available on request.

Changes

The date in the footer shows when the site was last checked; this notice changes only if the site starts doing something new.
